Kong Vollak

Kong Vollakは1983年、カンボジア・プノンペンに生まれました。王立芸術大学彫刻科を卒業。現在プノンペンに暮らし、カンボジア教育・青少年・スポーツ省の美術教師としても働いています。主に紙、木炭、インク、鉛筆を用いた作品を手掛ける優れた芸術家であり、また、あらゆる種類の素材を使った彫刻作品、紙とインクによるエッチングやリソグラフィ、また最近はフィルム、デジタル、スケッチによる写真作品も制作。都市の生活と建築（超高層ビル、電線、街路）、歴史と記憶に焦点を当てています。

Kong Vollakは、Mekong Art and Culture Porject (2007)でキュレーターを務めました。スリランカ・カンディにてTheertha International Artists ワークショップ(2008年)に参加したほか、米国ニューヨークのAsian Cultural Center(ACC)アーティストレジデンシー(2011年)、フランスのJeux De La Francophonie より彫刻部門で銅メダル受賞(2013年)、ユネスコ・アンドラ・アートキャンプ(2018年)にも参加しています。
