Suu Myint Thein was born in Hopin, Kachin State in 1970. His painting and sculpture studies was in 1988 to 1993 at Fine Art School (Mandalay). He was the head tutor of sculpture department at the state school of fine art , (Mandalay). He founded Alin DaGar Art School in 1992. He had five solo exhibitions and participated in numerous local groups’ shows on painting, sculpture, installation and performance. Now as the principal of Alin DaGar Art School and a director of Mandalay Contemporary Art Centre.
