La Lanta Fine Art is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by emerging Thai artist, Natthiwut Phuangphi.
In the exhibition "Fictitious Colour", Phuangphi intends to draw a conflict in the spectator’s conscientious normalcy. He puts together the traditional and the modern humanistic signs then largely shifts them from the realistic nature to a fictitious colour landscape. The work demonstrates theatrical rendition of semiotic activity.

The exhibition presents a total of 8 paintings with a combination of work on paper and work on linen material. Phuangphi overlaps techniques of hyper-realism using carbon drawing while contrasting it with the free flow and abstract quality of drifted paint. He attempts to introduce new experience to the audience giving the effect of wavy perception between the known and the unknown.

Natthwut Phuangphi
Born in 1990, Buriram, Thailand
A native of Buriram from the northeastern part of Thailand, Phuangphi's artwork is influenced by iconography and the heritage of the rural living. He manifests symbolic representation that reflects his root and his upbringing in his visual arts. Phuangphi receives MFA from Silpakorn University. He had exhibited in Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, Myanmar, Australia, and the USA.
