“Finding Light” explores the relationships between light, mind-sets, knowledge and empowerment. It also investigates how one might tackle adversities in life and the consequential darkness this can bring.
Subsequently, it posturizes how there is a seed of creativity in everyone which is only able to grow once the outer shell of self-limiting beliefs are broken through.

This inaugural launch event for the Arts4Changes foundation includes works that stem from young developing artists from disadvantaged backgrounds, and emerging artists who provide training and mentoring as part of Arts4Changes. Arts4Changes is a platform that charities and NGOs can use to provide training and micro-financing to those they support, in order to become artists and mentors themselves.

The collection of “Finding Light” includes group and individual works from a centre for young girls that have been tra[cked, highlighting the struggles that are being faced in a plethora of means and intensities. The ground- breaking launch exhibition explores the hardships and then the enlightening, breakthrough paths of which these young girls have taken to find refuge and solace.
