“Fantasy is not opposite the reality as, fantasies already decide how we perceive reality”

Slavoy Zizek had mentioned fantasy as it is just a covering up of discontinuity of an unmodified original, for instance an impossibility of fulfilled desire due to its true object is not compatible with what has been imagined. If we thor- oughly look on the art, it is not just reflecting but also embracing the truth.

“Human Behaviour” the solo exhibition of artist “Pawarisa wangkamfu” presents human behavior by giving an exam- ple from experiences and environments that have an impact on living, escaping from one’s own self behavior and the society. The artist had contemplated her mind by using psychoanalysis theory in order to comprehend the release of her subconscious with the use of art creation to heal herself. The process of creating art has led the artist to an ideal world, identity, emotion, confusion and certain irrational things which left only her true self and empty mind through this art series. Like it reaches a parallel world that connects dimensions of acknowledgment of time and space to- gether before meeting artist’s subconscious.

About the Artist

Pawarisa wangkamfu graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the faculty of painting, sculpture and printing, Sil- pakorn University. She had received an outstanding award from impromptu writing competition at Naval Art exhibition in 2018, she had participated in Portrait Prize exhibition in 2023 and Being human exhibition in 2019. Moreover she had participated in Art Busan, an international stage in 2024.
