In 2013, Terue Yamauchi graduated from the Hanspul Haenyeo traditional free diving school in Jeju Island where she learned free diving and began shooting underwater. “you are here” (2014) is a series of drawing made only by using sea water and salt collected from each of the five locations where she personally engaged with masters of local free diving fishery known as Ama in Japan and Haenyeo in Korea. The drawing depicts landscapes based on the artist’s diving experiences in the seas along Tsushima Warm Current (Jeju Island, Yeongdo Island (Busan), Tsushima Island, Okinoshima Island and Kanezaki (Munakata))
