The work is composed of the withered branches of a mandarin tree, combined with wires, glue, and beads that are intricately intertwined. Suspended from the ceiling, the work’s impression and air of resplendence varies depending on the angle from which it is viewed. While seemingly suggestive of connections invisible to the eye, it also evokes inverted roots, a ‘Minakata Mandala,’ and a synapse.
